New Red Lion Communication Gateway.
 
November 2006 

Red Lion announces a new communication gateway, offering multiple protocol conversion for any Red Lion product. The new ICM8 has two serial ports (one RS232 and one RS485) and a 10 Base-T/100 Ethernet Port, and performs protocol conversion allowing disparate devices to seamlessly communicate with one another. 

The 10 Base-T/100 Ethernet connection can connect to an unlimited number of devices via four protocols simultaneously. For the device to work properly, a Red Lion panel meter must be connected to at least one serial port. 

Programming the ICM8 is easy via RS232 or the USB port using free Crimson 2.0 software. An extensive built-in driver list allows easy data mapping to PLCs, PCs and SCADA systems. The DIN rail mounting saves time and panel space and snaps easily onto standard top hat (T) profile DIN rail.
