IDEM IdeSafe Bus System: 2 Wire Safety Communications

IDESAFE BUS SYSTEM: 2 WIRE SAFETY COMMUNICATIONS FOR USE WITH ROPE SWITCHES COVERING LONG LENGTHS (UP TO 5KM).

The IdeSafe Bus System allows the IDEM GLH Safety Rope Switches to be connected in series to protect long conveyor lengths up to 5Km whilst maintaining diagnostics and safety integrity.

Each switch contains an address programmable module to give individual diagnostics of the switch status and is readable at the control cabinet.

Open circuits are detected.

The whole system is connected in series by a simple 2 wire connection system from switch to switch making wiring easy and simple to install.

Safety integrity is maintained throughout via positively opened switch contacts connecting to the transmission bus to maintain PLe to ISO13849-1, SIL3 to EN62061 and Category 4 to EN954-1.

Communications capabilities - the system can be interfaced to most Text Displays, Touchscreens, PLCs and PCs via the gateways for Modbus and Profibus.

Up to 63 switches will connect to one IdeSafe Bus.

High flexibility allows the easy expansion of the system step-by-step by the installation of additional safety input modules.

Basic elements required are Master Module, Safety Receiver and Rope Switches with Input Modules.

DESIGNED FOR ROPE PULL SYSTEMS UP TO 5KM THE SYSTEM IS TARGETED AT LONG BULK MATERIAL CONVEYORS USED IN OPERATIONS SUCH AS:

Tunnels, Quarries, Mines, Power Plants, Airport Systems, Cranes, Elevators, Cement Factories, Harbours, Postal Systems, Automatic Door Systems, Petro-Chemical Plants, Conveyors in Sorting Systems and Automated Logistic Systems.

IDEM Safety Switches are designed and manufactured in the UK.
